Mobile Studies Summer School

The Mobile Studies Summer School (MSSS), the first of its kind in the world, is one of the long-term projects of Mobile Studies International. It is hosted by the Institute for Mobile Studies at the University of Nottingham Ningbo China. MSSS aims to promote globally mobile studies as an emerging field of interdisciplinary and applied research.

MSSS had its inaugural session on 5-16 August 2019. Its second session was held online via Teams on 23-27 August 2021, attracting 239 registered participants globally.

Starting from 2022, MSSS will have its region-specific sessions to be hosted by our Mobile Studies Asia-Pacific, Mobile Studies Africa, Mobile Studies Middle East, Mobile Studies Europe, Mobile Studies North America, and Mobile Studies South America.
