We offer on-demand and customized mobile studies workshops (MSW) online or offline on how to conduct and publish a research project on a specific topic related to mobile studies. Before you come to workshops, please let us know what specific project you want to conduct. We will share with you our experience and expertise in conducting mobile studies and how to publish our research projects in international journals or other forms of publication.

We also run similar workshops for both undergraduate and postgraduate students to help them with dissertations and theses as long as their topics are related to mobile studies.

SDG Storytelling

The need for effective storytelling has never been greater in today's fast-paced world. As the world grapples with many challenges, the United Nations has called for rescuing the 17 Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs). The SDGs seek to promote global peace, justice, and prosperity, but their impact is limited if we cannot effectively communicate their importance and urgency.

We are delighted to present a 5-day hands-on workshop led by Dr. Xiaoge Xu, a renowned scholar with over three decades of international teaching, research, and training experience. Dr. Xu has spent his career revolutionizing mobile studies and now brings his expertise to rescuing SDG storytelling.

This workshop will teach you how to leverage artificial intelligence (AI) and mobile technologies to enhance your storytelling skills. AI has the potential to personalize content, target specific audiences, and even measure impact. AI can also free human storytellers from labor-intensive information gathering and fact-checking. At the same time, mobile technologies can reach people wherever they are, providing a real-time platform for sharing and telling SDG stories.

By the end of the workshop, you will have mastered the theoretical principles of AI and mobile storytelling and developed a clear understanding of how to apply them in practice. You will learn how to create content that resonates with diverse audiences, using data-driven insights to inform your decisions. You will also learn to use mobile apps and other tools to collect and share stories in real-time, amplifying their impact.

This is a five-day hands-on virtual workshop on leveraging AI and mobile technologies to rescue SDG storytelling in response to the UN call to rescue SDGs. Capped at 30, the workshop covers SDGs and SDG storytelling, AI tools and platforms, storytelling elements and structures, story writing and production, and story presentation and assessment. The workshop runs from 7:00 to 8:00 p.m. Monday through Friday. Registration is required but free of charge. The workshop keeps running every other work if there is an increasing demand.
